Any idea of what’s wrong with your eyes?
I constantly get asked “What am I? Long or shortsighted?” The easiest way to understand this is to think what you can see better. For example, if your long sight is relatively better than your short vision then you can assume that you are longsighted. By contrast if your short vision is good and your long is poor, then you’re shortsighted. The term effectively describes what you can see better. The only confusing exception is astigmatism. This is where the front of your eye or cornea is irregular in shape and this can effect both your long and short vision. Definitely one to ask me about at your next consultation.
