Although we love it, we’re not just about making our customers look amazing. At Parker & Co we also place great importance on supporting people and organisations that aim to improve lives through the gift of better sight.
BLIND LOW VISION NZ GUIDE DOGS
Blind Low Vision NZ Guide Dogs give freedom and independence to people who are blind or have low vision. These dogs are specially bred and require unique training to become working guide dogs.
To help this cause we’ll donate $1.00 for every eye exam to Blind Low Vision NZ to assist with the training of Guide Dogs.
So you can take comfort in the knowledge that when you’re having your eyes tested at Parker & Co Eyewear you’re helping to improve the life of someone who’s visually impaired.
We work with The Essilor Vision Care Foundation to help improve local school children’s vision by donating free access to our eye care services.
It’s our shared aim to help give these children better life opportunities through improved sight.
We’re helping to restore sight in the Pacific through our involvement with VOSO (Volunteer Ophthalmic Services Overseas). VOSO are a New Zealand charitable trust that’s been providing free eye aid to the Pacific for over 30 years.
Through sight-saving surgery (cataract) and the distribution of thousands of pairs of glasses each year, VOSO helps to restore sight to those less fortunate in the Pacific Islands.
We collect and donate unwanted glasses for this project. If you’ve got an old pair of glasses you’d like to donate please contact us on 09-524 8828 or simply drop them in to the store.
